7. Search Engines: Web Crawler That Provides You Relevant Content.
Bestie,
In the spirit of showing up, I'm going to attempt to simplify how search engines find the most relevant information you tell it to find.
If you've ever randomly found yourself wondering how search engines work, this is a good post to read.
You see, all the search engines like Bing, AOL, Duckduckgo, you know them. They all work similarly. They do 3 major jobs which I'm going to explain. They are
1. Crawling
2. Indexing
3. Ranking.
Let us begin.
First, every search engine searches out every word you type in that search box. It digs and discovers what they have been allowed go access and kinda figures it out in specific details. Things like videos, web images and pages. This is called Crawling.
Secondly, they put what they find in different groups according to how relevant they are which is known as Indexing.
Last but definitely not the least, they display the discovered and broken down content for you to see according to what they believe is most important to you who is searching for that information. This is called Ranking.
In essence, the most important part of this post is Search engines are always working behind the scenes to find relevant information, put them in order and then show the most relevant results to searchers like you and I.
If you get this simple gist above, then you can optimise your content to make it easy to appear on the net for those customers who are already looking for you.
Tomorrow, I'll be both lengthier and more informative depending on what I learn.
Thank you for sticking with me.
Goodnight bestie.
